Home from Surgery{{{{yeah}}}}!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I am home from surgery!! and all went well, so far everything is BENIGN!!!! my docs say they believe that the final report well be just fine, though still chance of cancer they dont beleive thats the case. I should have my final report back by Monday or Tuesday at the lastest. Surgery was not that bad, like everyone told me!. I thank everyone here for there support ,and encouragement & prayers because of all of you I went into surgery with such peace of mind, cried just couple tears when I kissed hubby by , doc gave me happy meds and off I went. So they only took half of my thyroid, my calicum levels are a little low doc says they had a good view of the gland so believe its not damaged just in shock from the surgery so on calicum for the next two weeks.

I have no external stitches just internal and about a 4 inch cut, not sad bad, it could be worse!, stationary pain is about 0 though when I cough ...OH GOD! the PAIN... they gave me oxycodone! to go home with WOW strong stuff so I take a half and boy do I get lupe', but it seems to take that peircing pain away when I cough, besides that and the phelm in my throat it all good!. I am SOOOO glad I moved my surgery up and got it over with... wow! what a relief to have it done, they were great at the hospital! best place I have ever been, they took great care of me!. Well I should get back to resting, had to let you all know how it turned out! I will keep posted on my final report !

THANK YOU EVERYONE :) could'nt got thru it this good without U!

Sincerely,
Kelly

HEY There,I am home recovering from my surgery Last week Friday. I had a total thyriod-etomy. *(My word)* The Dr had to move a parathyroid gland out of the way and reattach it somewhere else. My calcium levels went WAY DOWN, and then the magnesium levels followed. I am feeling very "rough" today.I have NO ENERGY and I am concerned about the hard, stiff area around the incision. Is that normal? Ive been online checking things over. It all seems pretty straight forward. My family will just have to do their own laundry & dishes for a few more days! Glad you're feeling well.

Welcome back!  My fingers are crossed for your final pathology results.  Hey, think coughing is fun, wait until you sneeze!

Rest and drink tons of water (and take your calcium).  I'm glad you are back.

Hey, post over at the support forum, everyone is looking for you there.
