Difficulties TODAY post-surgery

My friend just came home from the hospital, following a radical thyroidectomy on Feb. 4. She has three serious problems!  1) ACUTE "burning" stomach pains  2)VERY high blood pressure/ 200+ over 124!  3) She can only taste salt and bitter tastes...and EVERYTHING tastes salty and bitter! a banana, applesauce, etc.  Please send any helpful info you have ASAP to the forum. Thanks. linda

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Your friend does indeed need urgent attention -- these are not typical post-thyroid surgery symptoms and are suggestive of other, potentially serious, problems.

I am by no means a medical professional, but if she should contact her physician regarding that BP and the gastro pains.
