Best thing I can suggest is to have your GP send you to a specialist, an Endocrinologist to be specific. Your GP is wasting your valuable lifetime becuase after four months ..you should already be feeling better. My daughter is 11 and we had one blood test and boom more tests right away to confirm the first results and now we are off to see the specialist. Best of luck to you! oh yeah, if your GP won't send you to the specialist, I'd find another GP!
Hi Nomes,
Yep, you have the anti-bodies so you do have Graves. However, you should be seen by an endocrinologist who can switch your meds to something else so you can start feeling better while you make a decision of what to do next.
After 4 months you should be feeling better, so obviously this med is not working for you and you need to be switched. I started on PTU, didn't work for me (also affected my liver) and my current endo put me on tapazole and it's been working fine.
Try to go to the endocrinologist.
Take care
