Hi- I'm a 23 yo female (T1 diabetic). I recently moved, went to a new endo and had some bloodwork (for A1c, etc), and recently got my lab results in the MAIL, with my TSH circled, with "You are hypothyroid" scribbled next to it, and a prescription for medication. Phew. You think he'd call!??
Anyway. I was hoping someone might be able to help interpret the results.. I left a msg for the endo but probably won't get a call back anytime soon since he is the ONLY endo in town. My TSH was 7.3 and my free T4 was 1.1. No T3 listed. I've been looking around the web and can't seem to find how to interpret the results (except that the TSH is high). Also, at the time I had the blood draw, I had just eaten and my blood glucose was 350. Could this interfere with thyroid tests? Help, anyone? Thanks!
