Ear Ringing

I am on a little bit of synthroid for hypothyroidism.  I have Hashi's as well.  My TSH was 2.28 last time it was checked.  I have had every test known to man kind.  I have really bad tinnitus in both ears.  It seems to be worse when I get tired or do not get enough rest.  It started the week I started taking my synthroid (3 months ago).

I do not have an adrenal problem or anything like that.  Do you have any idea what can be causing the ear ringing and how to stop it?

Thank You

Bruce

thanks.  i just switched from generic to synthroid..  seems to be the same/worse.  saw an ent, had all the tests run, MRI etc.

When I dont take meds I go up to 5.10 or 6.0  not too terribly bad but still enough to make me feel yucky....  So its either taking the meds, getting the noise, or not taking the meds and feeling yucky..

Tinnitus sometimes gets better w/ treatment for Hashi/Hypo, I have not seen it get worse/start w/ treatment but anything is possible.  Consider a trial off synthroid (if only on a low dose and approved by your doc) to see if resolves - if so, consider restart thyroid meds w/ another brand.  You have probably seen an ENT already....
