Feeling very fatigue and still have brain fog

I was curious if I could take Iodoral while taking Levothroxine.  I just started taking Levothroxine a week ago, and not feeling any different any energy level, brain fog, metabolism, and am very agitated. My doctor's nurse said the medicine would not take effect until 6 weeks when I go back to get my blood drawn again. I am a teacher and can't wait that now till it becomes effective.  I am contemplating taking only Iodoral alone, without the prescription. I have read on other websites that Iodoral has been effective in helping with energy and bringing the thryoid (hypothryodism) to a normal range.  What is your take??? Feeling desperate right now!!

Would not take iodoral.
Give the levothyroxine more time as recommended by your doctor.
