The doctor hasn't had a chance to answer yet, but I can chime in from experience. Have you had your calcium level tested since the TT? What is the level? The cramping is a symptom of low calcium, which needs to be treated immediately. If calcium gets too low, it can have serious consequences.
This can be due to low calcium - call your doctor to determine the right dose of calcium replacement and vit D (sometimes prescription vit D such as calcitriol is needed). It may resolve with time, but close followup is needed.
Hello,
I recently had a tt and they also took out all of my parathyroids and put them in my arm. I am on 1250 mg of calcium evey 6 hrs and vitamin d supplements.
If your body is cramping or is tingling that is a good sign that your calcium is very low and you need to get your levels tested asap. You could go into a seizure.
I had low calcium after TT and ended up in the hospital for 4 nights. I hope someone is treating you!
You need calcium replacement and Vit d immediately; this can be dangerous. Keep us updated.
