ANTIBODYS TEST-(TPO- 7) (antithyroglobulin-Less Than 20)
From my other tests done mid may my DR was thinking I was hyperT now my TSH has went back up into normal ranges. My question is what would make it go low than Back up? Also I found out I have a small goiter is this anything to worry about should I be keeping an eye on it? I am still losing my hair I think Ive lost about half my hair volume in the last month and a half.Could my FreeT3 be causing my HypoT synptoms I never thought I was HyperT I was actually confused when they told me I was HyperT I have most of the Hypo symptoms. Also would a lower but "normal" range T3 make it harder to lose weight and cause my hair loss and other symptoms? Iam just confused why my numbers are so low.My endo wants me back in 3months for a re check. But in the meantime my family doc is sending me to a dermatologist to rule out possible reasons for my hair loss.
I know how you feel when I first started having my symptoms from my Hypothyroid I lost all my hair first it started just breaking appart like it was all dead then came out in clumps. I was devastated no woman wants to be bald but there is hope it's a hair product called Nioxin you can get it in any hair salon or product sypply store. This stuff saved my hair and even made it grow back thicker and fuller then it was before it had falen out. I was told that this product is used by cancer patients to prevent hair loss due to chemo. It's about $30 to $40 but worth every penny.
Additional testing to confirm hyperthyroidism is appropriate -- TSH, Free T4, Free T3. The most common cause of hyperthyroidism is graves disease - this usually requires treatment - in some cases the primary doctor can start this. An I-123 nuclear scan can confirm the cause of the hyperthyroidism.
Sorry this is happening to you hon. Don't worry, it does come back,I know others this happened to. It sounds like you are hypo not hyper, by your symptoms and your doc did outdated tests! Yes you're right, it should be the FT3 and 4 and tsh, also antibodies testing. Hang in there and take hair skin and nails vitamins, also a lot of protein helps.Find a new doc that'll run the right tests. You might be in a hyper phase of Hashi possibly.
