High triglycerides levels

Hi,
My husband is 42 years old and have diagnosed with thyroid cancer and thyroid gland was removed this year Jan. He under the medication of synthroid now. Before this issue also he was having high levels of triglyceride in this blood. Before 2 months when he checked it was under 250 and when he checked this month it was increased to 393. Now my question is with proper exercise and diet can his triglyceride can be reduced? & people with no thyroid gland can also reduce the triglyceride? Please answer and help me.

If the thyroid hormone levels are normal, there is no impact on trig levels -- but if under-replaced (ie, high TSH levels) then trigs can increase.  Sounds like he is prone to high trigs anyway -- low sugar/carb and low saturated-fat diet along with exercise can help

Yes, I believe the exercise would help along with a healthy diet. But are the thyroid hormones all within a good range? Also, does he feel good on the level if Synthroid he is on.
