once on a regular routine on medication for hypothyroid, will the weight start to come off?
I am in this same boat. I have discovered however that I have metabolic syndrome, which supposedly hinders the weight loss.
What are you supposed to do when diet and exercise don't work?

usually the weight is 5-10 pounds due to fluid retention.
but it is harder to lose weight when hypo -- once that is corrected then the usual diet/exercise is more effective -- may take 2-3 months to see a difference.
