Hashimoto's (HAIT) and anxiety

My experience has been that the presence of thyroid antibodies can cause some patients to experience a severe whole-body anxiety reaction when attempting to supplement with thyroid hormone.  I found that getting rid of my antibodies quelled this problem.  The
details of my experience are currently documented at:

ftp://ftp.ucar.edu/era/ThyroidTale.htm

My question is, what is the underlying mechanism of this?  Is it because HAIT prevents your body from doing peripheral T4->T3 conversion, or is it for some other reason?

some people are sensitive to thyroid meds and need slow titration upward to the appropriate dose.  This is true of any replacement for hypothyroid not just Hashi.

Without reading the site you suggested,LOL!

There is no cure or treatment for antibodies, as yet.

Antibodies can go into remission but will eventually appear again and maybe next time around with more of a vengeance.
