I can't loose weight no matter what I do - HELP!!!

I'm a healthy 47 with some health issues.  I am also going thru peri menapause.  I was diagnosed with Hashimoto disease and colesterol issues 4 1/2 years ago.  I have a slightly enlarged goiter (3.8) on the right side of my neck.  Back then I had quit smoking, gained a ... [More] ton of weight (gone up from 123 to 164).  My colesterol was fairly high too (was 276 and now with a statin an good diet is down to 190).  I lost a lot of weight within 2 years by eating right and excercising and came down to 127 and maintained it up til a few months ago.  Last year I started skipping my period and was still working out but slowly gaining weight again.  I started since September going into the 130's and now am teatering on 138-142.  I was put on a hormone replacement because I was suffering about 3 months ago (Activella) which saved me.  Since January I work out 3/4 times a week, practically a vegan with an occasional chicken or fish.  Now it's 2 months into this and I again teater on 138-142.  What is going on????? I'm doing everything right but not loosing that extra 10 lbs that I don't want.

I know that..... I am on Lovethyroxine for over 4 years.  Since my peri menapause (which has been occuring the last 2 years) I think I'm slowly gaining all the weight back (I lost 40 lbs).  Just recently (about 2 months ago) I was put on Activella to help my hormone situation because I was suffering real bad.  I've been working out pretty much all my life but more so since my thryoid disease.  I eat healthy (cut out carbs and sugar) and work out 3/4 times a week like mad....... What am I doing wrong.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
If you have an untreated underactive thyroid it is harder to lose weight but low thyroid is not a common cause of obesity or weight gain.
