I had a severe TBI in '95 and have not been able to lose any weight

Well all my complaining finally got my PCP to get me in to see an endocronologist in a about 12 days unlike the appt I had with a highly recommended doc in Nov but I have been waiting 15 years tomorrow to finally be diagnosed with hypothyroidism and in that time I have not dated because I am so fat and the men I am attracted to are not fat like me.  I have tried to do everything and I'm wondering if there is anything I need to especially tell the doctor when I see her on the 27th because I have a binder of info from the internet.  I guess I'm asking if there is anything else I need because my TSH and free T4 and free T3 tests were fine but my reverse T3 test was a little low.  HELP

Reverse T3 is not clinically useful.
The endocrinologist will evaluate the TSH etc to see if these are normal or borderline and need more testing.

Don't give up!  There is treatment out there and a person who will see you as the person inside and not the outer shell.  I am a very large woman and I don't let that get in the way of my happiness.  Keep the faith.
