Low TSH

HI. once been into a low risk HIV exposure. tested at 6 weeks for both Antigen and antibodies and came back negative. except that only after 45 days from the expsodure date adn 2 days form my negative test results, i did a blood screeming test and found out that i have very low TSH. Hyperthyroidism with High T3 and T4 (which "that is normal". can you please let me know if that could that be related to the HIV exposure or infection?. 2/ can you please let me know if that may lead to false results in my 8 weeks mark test whihc i am planning to take? 3/ if i take treatment for the Thyroindism would that delay the window period for HIV test? 4/ i already uptake Thyroid test with chemcial syrup. (sorry for my english whihc mightn not be much helpful)

please let me know

PS: My TSh is 0.004. my T3 is 9.2 and my T4 is 2.79
CRP and ESP are normal.
TRab test is on it way.

thanks

Dr. Hello,
soory for bothering again
now after i haev been under treatment for 1 month and half (tapazole 30mg/day), do you think i can stop the treatment, while taking into consideration that my TSH is still very low, but hormones are within Normal range. i want to stop the treatment as i have been told that the tapazole is an immunosuppressant and it may delay the HIV window period which i am anxious about. my big concern in HIV and not the thyroid neither my heart. how can the thyroid treatment or Tapazole affect my immue system in a way that no Antibodies shown for HIV after three months now. i know proabbly that i am repeating myself, but please give me re-assurances.

Thanks Doctor in Advance

Dr. TRAb came back positive and high which taht confirms that i have an autoimmune disorder. would you think that such would affect the window peirod of HIV, as i am planing to test for HIV after 11 weeeks from a possible exposure.
do you think my immu system is weak ?

The diagnosis of HIV status should not be effected by the thyroid problem or treatment of the thyroid -- HIV itself usually does not cause thyroid problems, certain HIV medications may cause thyroid problems though.

I would see these as two separate issues at this point.  You do have hyperthyroidism and the TRab and uptake study will help determine the cause -- ie, thyroidtis vs graves vs hot nodule(s) - then the type of treatment can be determined.
