The cytomel may help - the dose should be no more than 5mcg once or twice a day in added to the 150mcg of levoxyl. The results are individual - in my experience about 30% of patients feel better adding T3.
Hi. How come your doc didn't do a free T3?? Most of us with progressive docs are using that lab, and working to get our free T3 at the top of the range, which is where symptoms go away. Also, why don't you look into Armour rather than adding a synthetic T3 to a synthetic T4?? Armour is called natural thyroid hormones, is from pigs, and gives us T4, T3, T2, T1 and calcitonin. I personally didn't add Cytomel to my T4 med, but instead was switched to Armour. There are folks on the natural thyroid hormones group on yahoo who state that they felt even better on Armour than on Cytomel with T4 meds.
