Still feeling it

Ga7
I have been hypo for for over 25 years,no meds,no complications, doc insisted I get back on them,,I had aTT 26 years ago,and synthroid makes me feel terriable,so stopped it and did well for many years. Wll been on it now,,{brand synthroid fo 1 year, and tsh is 1.0 for three months now,T4 is 1.8
told I had benine cyst on left adrenal gland, due to hypo so long that adrenal had to handle the load.
had 24 hour urine done, says normal, but i dont think it is a good test for that give overall results and not what goes on during day..I trying to insist on a saliva test,I wired and tired in morning, and come late afternoon,Im very dizzy, and tired..Im dizzy apon, standing and walking. My endo says no need to check T3 since my TSH is normal,,I tried Armour to no avail,,to jittery even at low doses.

But lobes were removed in 84,,ultrasound showed zero ativity,my doctors both endo and pc were amazed how I funtioned,,in 1990 my TSH was 300,,felt fine but I had heavy dizzy spells 2 years ago that would last about a hour till i drank alot of water,,I was working in Desert, thought just due to dehidration...Went to there clinic and had lab work done, they say my TSH was 118 and told me I needed to be back on meds daily right away,,that is when everything just went bad, alday dizzy fatigue almost coma state, and this was with just 25mcg muscle pains, panic attacks.Ive been on it now straight at 175mcg,and 150mcg brand for over a year, have to do 175mcg five days,150 two days to keep the anxiety down and jitters My TSH is still 1.1 as of yesterday,T4 free is 1.7. I think I am hormone sensitive. Well like i said only had my levels check three times over the 20 something years after my thyroid was removed.

The adrenal cyst is not likely due to hypothyroidism.  You didn't likely have a total thyroidectomy as off meds for years would not be compatible with life.  Salivary testing is not proven to be helpful (yet) - with exception of late night cortisol as a screen for Cushings -- which you don't likely have.  If armour made you jittery at low doses, then T3 is not likely to help but could try a low dose (1/2 5mcg) of cytomel - ask your doctor about this.  Also look at the levels not on thyroid medication - would be curious to see how low you got and if there is a definite need for medication.
