I would imagine a repeat panel in 3-4 weeks will show a dropping T4/T3 OR a recovery in TSH if you were going through the phases of thyroiditis. TSH is very sensitive to small changes in T4 and T3 -- therefore it will become abnormal before the others do. In most cases a high TSH is diagnostic of hypothyroidism and medication should be considered.
I have just been diagnosed with reverse T3. You can have normal levels of T3 but if you test as too much reverse T3 it can block the action of the T3 making it unusable. This can effect your TSH. SO there are many possibilites, don't give up. Make sure you get a doctor who is aware of all possibilities by reading and educating your self on line about possibilities so that you can ask the right questions. I love the internet it is saving my sanity and health!
Good luck
I will be seeing an endocron. in feb. In the meantime, i have increase my iodide uptake from natural sources, like buying iodide salt, eating more seaweed, and fish.
