Dear Dr. Lupo:
I am 28 years old and have began medication for hypothyroidism in January. My TSH was 7.58 and my thyroid antibodies were over 900. I began the .05 of levothyroxine. In April, my TSH was 2.43. In June and July I began feeling the similar syptoms I started off with and had it checked again with a TSH of 12.45. My dosage was upped to .075. I really want to get pregnant, do I need to wait for my TSH to level out to do so? I can't imagine feeling this way while pregnant, but I don't want to keep putting it off. Any suggestions? I keep my TSH checked again Sept. 15th. Since my dosage went up, I haven't seen an improvement. In addition, I had knee surgery last year, but now both my knees ache like crazy. Please help. Thanks
