TSH levels

I had Graves Disease and my doctor has me on .1 Synthroid, with annual thyroid blood tests.  When my TSH levels drop or rise above the normal range, the doctor adjusts my Synthroid dosage.  I also have uncomfortable symptoms when I am not in the normal TSH range.

Recently the doctor changed my Prempro dosage from .45/1.5 mg per day to double that amount.  Do you think the change in Prempro could change my thyroid levels?

Should I request new thyroid blood tests or wait for my annual testing which comes up in 6 months?

The estrogen in the prempro may alter synthroid requirements, so when changing estrogen medications, we usually repeat TSH in 2 months.

I would request to be tested in at least 3 months and voice your concerns to your doctor.  If the doctor doesn't listen to your concerns about your body, consider finding one that will.
