Thyroid Result Questions Can't Seem to Get Meds Right

My latest test results just came in and my TSH is 0.240 (range 0.450-4.500) and my Free T4 is 0.74 (range 0.82-1.77).  I have already had half of my thyroid removed and have since had a goiter. Biopsy came back clean and a three month try on Armour was a bust. My doctor seems baffled by the results.

Thank you. My doctor took me off Armour and put me on Synthroid and Cytomel. I don't know if that will work. My doctor has mentioned taking the rest of my thyroid out since I have another goiter.

Assuming this was while on armour, this is a typical pattern of low TSH and low-ish T4 -- all from a slightly high dose of armour (pig thyroids have less T4 and more T3 than human thyroids) .  Most patients do not need thyroid meds after a lobectomy (half-thyroid removal) but some do -- would consider a trial of levothyroxine if armour is not a good fit for you.
