Thyroid issues

For a few months now I have been gaining wait but not eating don't seem to be hungry. Hair loss where every time I shower I have to remove hair from the drain, not interest in sexual activity. I went to the Doctor had thyroid blood work everything in normal range. Had an Ultra sound done and many nodules found. I was clear what they were and Ultra sound tech says their common in this area ( whatever that means) The nodules are rather big in my book they push on my windpipe.
There is cancer history in my family so I'm kinda freaking out.
If my blood work came back fine that my thyroid is working like a champ why do I have so many issues that would be cause by a bad thyroid?
I know when I go back for my results they will I'm sure want to do a biopsy I think, How long does those results take??
I just want to know what the chances are for Cancer???

Blood tests do not predict nature of nodules.  Likely need FNA biopsy.  Nodules are very common and only about 5-10% are cancer.

Don't be scared. I went through a similar scare. I was so afraid it would be cancer, but the nodules were harmless. I was also told my an oncologist that if he HAD to have cancer, but could pick which one - he would choose thyroid because it is so easily dealt with.

So don't worry and stress over it, k?

I think I wrote about some of my "glow test" experience on my blog at www.wilsonstemperaturesyndrome.blogspot.com  Check it out if you want. The dates go backward in time, and it was in one of my first posts, I think, where I talked about that scary time. So, scroll to the end to get to the beginning ;)

Relax and good luck!
