If the biopsy was done on the left lobe and not a true nodules/mass on the left, it is likely Hashimoto's with some fibrosis and scar tissue commonly seen in Hashimoto's. There is not a description in your question about a nodule other than the 0.2 cm "lesion", these very small "lesions" are typically pseudo-nodules in the setting of Hashimoto's. Would see an endocrinologist who does his/her own ultrasound to help sort this out.
Hello Dr. I have had a partial thyroid removal in 2004.I am not or have ever taken any thyroid medicine. Now all of the sudden I have symptoms of what I believe would be hypothyroid. I just recently went to my specialist that did some blood tests, TSH, FT4 , FT3 ,and cortisol. The tests came out fine for my thyroid but now he wants a 24 hour urine cortisol and creatinine . Is this still about my thyroid? I just talked to the nurse at his office about this new test and she wasn't very informational to me. My hair is still falling out real bad and I can not for the life of me loose any weight is why I went to see him. Thank you so much for any reply.
Hello, I have been seeing an endocrinologist, this is who ordered these tests. I am hoping that I dont need a second one. This new test has me worried. Thank you, Badthyroid.
