Which meds more apt to cause over excitation?

Just wondering which meds (brands) if any are more/less apt to cause side fx and/or over-excitation (palps etc) upon treatment initiation and as treatment goes onward? Thanks in advance.  I just started the 50 mcg of Synthroid today and 9 hours into it my heart is 'thumping' not tachy..but palps/thumps.  I am not sure if it could be from the med so quick or not. So it just got me to thinking about meds in general. I prefer really to request a med with the least amount of difficulty to adjust to!

Synthroid and levoxyl are T4 and the least likely to cause palpitations - despite this, some people are sensitive if the symptoms last more than a few days, perhaps cutting the pill in half for the first two weeks may allow for acclimation.

Armour, thyrolar and cytomel all have T3 and therefore more likely to cause over-stimulation.
