blood test norms thyroid

Hi, I had hyper then had radioactive iodine. About 30 years ago. Then badly hypo but condition been controlled and stable for years. Last week, blood test thyroid. Doc said it was 28, norm 23. Been taking 125mcg for ages, feel fine (except for ME) ,regular annual tests.Doc told me to do 100, 125 alternate days. Tried that once before when slightly up, felt so depressed. Now I'm scared to do this, M.E. usual symptoms but don't want to feel worse, sleep more etc. Had mega stress lately, could that affect blood result? Please tell me whether I am within the normal range, told you numbers but don't know what they mean! Thank you

The number you mention appears to be T4 -- would ask your doctor about TSH which is a better assessment of thyroid replacement.  Goal TSH is usually 0.5-2.5.
