I've also researched on the net is it possible that taking barley grass and Agaricus Blazei Murill  which have high glucan and claim to decrease or eliminate the spreading of cancer cells also be advisable in my moms thyroid problems?

feb. 2009 was the last check up regarding my moms thyroid problem. coz of  problem financially we didnt made any more check ups. but this is the result of the test.

neck ultrasound:
the right lobe measures 6.1 x 1.9 x 2.5cms ( LXAPXW) while the left lobe measures 6.0 x 2.3 x 2.4 cms.  Echo pattern is heterogenous with increase parechymal relflectivity.

The several round and ovoid hypoechoic solid structures with well defined margin are seen scattered in the entire right lobe and isthmus the largest of which measures 1.0 cm in diameter.  Large ovoid hyperechoic solid structure with thin echopenic rim is seen in the left lobe measuring 3.1 x 2.3 x 2.6cms.  Smaller similar foci are seen in the upper pole of the same lobe measuring 1.4 x 0.9 cm and 0.5 x 0.49 cm. Isthmus is thickened.

Impression: thyromegally with diffuse parechymal changes and nodular configuration.  Thickened isthmus.  Subcentimeter hypoechoic nodules, cysts in the left lobe. Large hyperechoic solid mass, left lobe suggest tissue correlation

before she experience like sudden darkness, coughing, sometimes hard swallowing, then suddently she mentioned like her eye are pulling or stretching inside. I cried so many times coz  i dont know what to do my grandmother died recently too coz of other ailments.  coz of financial difficulties we ask for only medication.

the doctor gave us levothyroxine and calcium coz cannot take surgery if we wanted too. hope for prompt reply.

This is most consistent with Hashimoto's thyroiditis with a nodule on the left.  Initially levothyroxine is the main treatment.  The nodule should undergo FNA biopsy to confirm it is benign (90% chance).  There are no supplements or herbs proven to be of benefit in this setting.

we tried having biopsy before but the thing is the nodule keeps moving up and down so it was hard to get any sample. what is the possible remedy for this type of thyroid disease?? the doctor said before her thyroid must be removed but the other doctor said just drink levothyroxine for 3 months and see if will get smaller.
