down and maybe depressed!

Back on feburary 26, 2012 i  started having problems with ringing in ears, a week  later couldnt sleep more than 2 or 3 hrs a day and sometimes 3 straight days without being able to sleep!!! not being able to sleep just made things worst, pounding in my head, tingling sensation on the sides of my head or around the scalp, ears became senitve to any noises, sometimes couldnt remember things, shaky hands, pressure on one side of my ear, loss of appetite, lost 12pds in 16 days, became irratable, nervousness, agaitated, high blood pressure, papitations, couldnt stay still!!! everytime i would be close to falling asleep a muscle or limb movement would happen and  id quickly wake up!! than on march 15, 2012 ended up in an emergency rm and i explained to the er doc and he ordered ct scan and prescribed ativan 3 a day and dosage is 0.5 very low!!! went to my pcp and sent me to an ent, neurolgist, socalgist, and a thyroid specialist. The ENT did all his ear exams on me and he said  their all in pretty good normal rage.  Than i went to the neurolgist and he order sleep study, eeg, mri w/without contrast of brain, and a tricranial ultrasound which im wating to get approval from  the insurance company. the techs that did the eeg and sleep study said they see nothing wrong but its not offcial, the reading of the mri look good but its not offcial..anyways went to my thyroid doc and he ordered an unltrasound of the thyroid and a uptake scan because of the symtoms idescribed to him, the ultrasound came back and didnt show anything wrong with the thyroid or goiter, but the uptake scan r-131 showed that there was a possible nodule in the up mid rt lobe, but the radiologist said in the final report that even though the ultrasound didnt discover a nodule, tht he couldnt exclude a hot nodule and that he noticed that the thyroid was being over active even though the 24 hr uptake readings were good.. My thyroid doc diagnoised me with hyperthyroidism. any advice

It takes several weeks to normalize thyroid levels w/ tapazole and you may need a dose adjustment.  Discuss these symptoms with your doctor so he/she can guide you through this after rechecking labs to re-assess response to medication.  If you are not on a beta-blocker, this may help w/ the palpitations.
