Thanks for answering my question on t4/t3 therapy. I was wondering what would you do with a patient in my situation where it is proving challenging to stabilise TSH and fT4 which given rising TSH, seems to be due to ongoing failure of the gland even after a significant amount of time after starting levothyroxine. You said before that it usually takes about 6 months to stabilise a new hypothyroid patient, and my gland still appears to be failing significantly after over a year and i have symptoms still.

thank you, I do work closely with an endocrinologist. I just wish I could feel better more quickly.

I cannot give specifics as each case is unique -- would work closely with an endocrinologist or other doctor with expertise in hypothyroid treatment until things stabilize.
