high T3 total

I am about 10 pounds overweight. I have been working out with a trainer (light weights and cardio) and following a strict (but healthy) diet since May and have not lost a pound. During a routine visit to the ENT doctor, he thought my thyroid looked large. I had a sonogram that was normal and my blood work came back with the following results. What does this mean and what should I do? I am 21 years old.
                                                                              Reference Range
TSH                               1.66                                        0.40-4.50
T4, Free                          1.2                                         0.8-1.8
TSH W/Free T4 RFX
TSH, 3rd generation        1.66                                         0.40-4.5
T3 Total                          260                                          60-181

Most common reasong would be birth control pill causing a false elevation in T3 - otherwise the thyroid labs are perfectly normal.
