how long should i go off levothyroxine?
Hello again... I just want to ask how long should I go off/withdrawal from my levothyroxine medication (125 mg thyrax) before my tg level blood test as a routine check of any recurring papillary CA? I am from the Phillippines and thyrogen injections here is very costly and i cant afford it. My endo said I have to be off thyroid drugs for 2 weeks before the tg blood test. Is that enough to make me hypothyroid?

When I went off thyroid medications for two (2) weeks my TSH was still 2.50.. Would 3 weeks off ok? thank you dr, lupo

2-3 weeks as usual. Ideally we get a TSH greater than 25 in this situation.
