Thyroid Calcification

I have been feeling very tired and depressed, and anxious. Plus I feel like my throat is full and have a hard time swallowing. I feel nervous, have a fast heartbeat, and sweat a lot. I had a cat scan for a neck problem and they found calcification of the thyroid gland. I had an ultrasound and there were two nodules visible. My TSH is 1.73.

I had a total thyroidectomy on 3/25/10 and the surgery went well. 2 days later, however I went back to ER with calcium deficiency (hypocalcemia) my hands and mouth felt like I was getting paralized. With calcium supplementation and 2 tablets of calcitriol, it seems that the tingling sensation is under control.

3 nights ago, I developed a cough at night that have kept me from sleeping! Can anyone help me? I have a lot of phlegm and post nasal drip. And there's a part of my throat that tickles.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
The nodules need to be evaluated by an endocrinologist for possible FNA biopsy.  The normal TSH reflects normal thyroid function you don't need thyroid medications.  The swallowing may be related to the nodule - ask the endocrinologist about this.
