GRAVES AND RASHES

Hi. I am hoping someone can help me. I found out that I have Graves Disease in May of 2009. I have all the symptoms and I am currently looking for the best procedure for me. I came down with a rash on my back a few months ago. It is an open rash. Now it has spread to my chin and arms. Does anyone know what it can be? I am not on any meds for the Thyroid. It almost looks like Chicken Pox?? TY  Cara

Anti-thyroid meds (methimazole and PTU) can cause a rash.  Graves itself can cause a rash, but this is less common.  Would see your doctor to evaluate the rash, as it may be unrelated.

This may sound strange... but I have never had a rash before. The only other rash was to the MMI. Strange but these things only itch on occasion not all the time. Everytime I turn around another one breaks.... boy do I wish there was no such ting as Graves.
