thyroid test results

Hi I am a 29 year old female. I have been overwhelmed with a lot of unwanted symptoms for the past year such as fatigue, low libido, hair falling out, dizziness, anxiety, can't lose weight 9 i am about 10 lbs overweight) and depression. I also recently started having my period twice a month and my flow is a lot heavier than usual. My doctor ordred a some blood work an done of the tests she ordered was the free t4 and tsh. My results for the free t4 were .94 ( according to my lab normal range is .7-2) and the tsh result was 1.01 lab range (.5 - 5.9) do you think my levels are still on the low side I though tfor sure my answer to all my symptoms was going to be my thyroid.... please let me know your thoughts.

Hi,
Your thyroid might not be normal with these results.
You should test for free t3, to be sure that your body is
converting t4->t3 properly, as t3 is much more active and potent
form of thyroid hormone.
If free t3 is low or near the bottom of therange, your are most likely hypothyroid.
Low-normal result might not be normal for everyone.
Also it is strange that your TSH is more then normal.
I would test for free t3 anyway.
Antibodies are a good idea as well.
Regards,
Dejan.

The thyroid levels are normal -- based on that is is not your thyroid.  Would keep working with your doctor to determine the cause.
