Hi Doctor
I had CAT- SCAN done 2 months ago to rule out tumor on my neck my results cyst on meck however. it also says IT IS NOTED THAT THE THYROID GLAD IS RATHER DIFFUSELY HETEROGENEOUS CONTAINING TINY NODULES AND REPRESENTING A MULTI NODULAR THYROID GLAND.  i had an in depth thyroid function tsh and other numbers all normal.the test was for hashimotos  the only thing that showed up on a non fasting test was my sugar was low and told to eat more. what does this mean, what type of test am i headed for? I am sick of doctors to be honest. this is my 5th specialist maybe 6th now i have for a disease, neurofibromatosis 1 i have in which it doesn't affect the thyroid.

Sounds like you have an enlarged thyroid but normally functioning and not Hashimoto's based on what you write.

Ultrasound is better than CT to characterize nodules and evaluate the need for FNA biopsy of one or more of the nodules.  Sounds like the nodules are small and not likely contributing to symptoms, etc.
