Keep being told I have hyperthyroidism with normal labs

Hi... this all has come on so fast, in 3 weeks a lump has shown up in my throat and my instincts told me to get checked asap. Went to the dr, got an ultrasound and blood work, diagnosed with multinodular goiter, large 3cm cyst on one lobe along with solid and cystic nodules all over. My blood work came back within normal ranges. I went to an endocrinologist and he told me sounds like hyperthyroidism, but also scheduled me for a fine needle aspiration this week. How could I be hyperthyroid when my blood doesn't show out of the ordinary? Also worried about cancer since this had all happened so quick, my throat hurts and ear hurts. I have a weird new cramp in my mid left side stomach region. My large cyst is on my left side and for a few years I've had issues with underarm and breast lymph nodes hurting and had no idea why. Could this all be related? What are the chances I have hyperthyroid or cancer with this info?
