~*~*~ FUN THREAD .. Getting to know you better~*~* List 3 things about yourself

you'd like to share that we don't know!  This may be a fun thread to help with S t R e S s during this holiday season while dealing with our thyroid issues!

OK:  I'll start

1.  I have become addicted to Yankee Candles the past month as a emotional stressbuter ... the aroma is so relaxing for me right now as I await my surgery date on 1/9!!!

2.  I have a ShiTzu dog who is 4 yrs old and has an autoimmune disorder recently DX'd in her eyes which require tear duct meds the rest of her life (nice, huh @ $35/mo).  The meds are the same as Restatin for humans.  She doesn't produce enough tears and, thus, gets ulcerations in her eyes .. poor doggie!

3.  I am a mom to 4 great kids ages almost 16, 13 1/2, 9 & 8 ... need I say more .. my house is CRAZY!!!

Hi, everyone *wave*  I'm new to posting on the board (although I've been trolling for awhile) so this is great!

1) I'm 30, married for 8 1/2 years to my college sweetheart, with 2 children - a daughter who turns 5 next month and a son who is 18 months (and oddly enough just got a call from the pediatrician that his TSH is elevated although it was normal about 2 months ago - they checked it because his weight gain has been very slow for the last 10 months)

2) I work as a nurse for an insurance company (don't throw tomatoes at me :-P) and I do love my job.

3) Our only pet is a 11 year old cat who is special needs although at one point we had 4 bunnies (one of which was dead in the freezer), 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 hampster sharing our house.

I am 26, got divorced in 2005 after 7 years of marriage. Yes I know I was 17 what was I thinking. Live and Learn and boy did I. We divorced after I supported him in school. But it was a good choice wonderful boyfriend now. He teaches me soooo much and has supported me through all of this.

I don't have children but definately want them. I want four but ask me again after the first one. I am the spoiled brat, I mean youngest of five.

I was born and raised in South Texas and no not everything is bigger here.

Woohoo.  I like things like this.

I'm 26.  Married.  Husband is 35.  4 Kids - 3 girls (7, 5, and 4) and 1 boy (2).

Paralegal by day, freelance writer by night/weekend for Car Audio & Electronics magazine.

Also, full time college student.  Pursuing a degree in Psychology.

Just moved into a new house.  No time for anything anymore.  Anxiously awaiting the New Year; however, currently a bit concerned about my health.

Love reading this board.  Lots of helpful information and friendly people.

i wanna play too....

1)i'm 25, Chinese from Malaysia (been repeating this quite a bit lately)..My wife is also 25, a mixture of Chinese and the local aborigines(kinda like the Red Indians in America). Both of us are MBA holders.

2) We have a 11 month old baby boy. I'm the eldest of three sons and i've returned to live with my parents two years back and left my own own home unoccupied. My happiest moment of the day is returning from work and watch 3 generations of our family spending quality time together (My parents, me/wife/brothers and my baby). The look in my parent's eyes when they play with my baby is priceless. Unlike in the US, living with our parents is nothing to be ashamed of. I love them!!!

3) We have a dog but theres really nothing special about it.

ok...3 things

1. I am 53, married to a wonderful Dutchman :) (not my first marriage, we will be married 8 years in February)...His family is still all in Holland so we visit Amsterdam at least once a year---one of the perks of being to a European...you get to travel alot!

2. I have 2 children...son 31 and daughter 23. My son is an ITT specialist, my daughter is still in college studying for a BFA. I am an administrator. I have masters degrees in art and art history but no longer work in the arts field....got tired of non-profit :)

3. My husband and I have four cats who are all distinctly different...Cleo, the regal one...Socks, the loveable one, ...Cali, the shy one...and Pooh Bear, who is just like a big teddy bear!

This seems like fun
OK three things:
1) I am 41 years old and my fiance is 26. My dececased husband was 53 when he passed away last year so I have gone from one extreme to the other.

2) I have three teenagers 19, 16 and 15 and since my pathology came back OK, I am willing to start all over and have more babies with my fiance.

3) I am planning to elope with my fiance to Hawaii (everyone in the families knows we are taking a cruise).  I would have loved to have had a wedding with all the bells and whistles since my first marriage was an elopement with a small church wedding and reception after on.

Okay, I'll play.

I'm 40 years old.  Oldest of five daughters (like there is ANYONE on this forum who doesn't know that).

Two miniature dachshunds that I love and a cat I inherited I'm still not sold on. Daughter (19) and son (15) both live with me full time.  Divorced for the past 7 years (he's former Air Force).

Have an MPA (like and MBA but focused on government and nonprofit).  Currently Vice President of a company, formerly in all levels of government and nonprofit work.  Really want to get back to government or nonprofit.

Lived in Utah my entire life but would love somewhere warmer with the ocean.

1. I'm married, 36, and have two children (son 17 and daughter 8). My son is from a previous marriage but my husband and I have been together for 15 years but actually married 7 years.

2. I will graduate with a MBA degree in the spring. I am currently a hotel manager, however, the hotel is closed and undergoing renovations.

3. I have two Shetland Sheepdogs that are my "babies" and two cats that have a mind of their own. My babies are what keep me sane, lol!

I just finished grad school with my MBA and work as a systems analyst for a Fortune 100 company.  I really don't like my job and am hoping to find something else shortly.

I live in New Hampshire, my fiance is from Connecticut, but we would like to get back to Colorado where my family is within a couple years.

I love to exercise; I run a lot and do Bikram and Ashtanga Yoga

And I hate the dark winters of New England.

This is cool!     I married young and had 2 sons, divorced in the 6th year.   Second marriage 13 years later, now in it's 8th year. My 28yr old is having trouble with his low self-esteem issues but has a good heart & wouldn't hurt anyone.  My 25 yr old is living with his childhood sweatheart who is 5 yrs his junior. My kids are my most prized blessing. My sons live together like they have been almost all of there lives. They are VERY close.
Due to my auto-immune diseases I haven't been able to work the job I've had for nine years(it has been over 3 months now)  I'm not very happy and  I feel like being alone most of the time. I may also be pre-menepausal.
I love animals of all kinds and have 3 very  personable cats with 3 distinct personalities.  Without them there would be no laughter in our home.   I am a born-again Christian and Jesus is my only hope that life will get better.
