Undiagnosed for 6 years. Lost 30 pounds. Has anyone started sweating to the point of being absolutely soaked. Projectile vomiting and flushing diarrhea for weeks. Seems to get better and gain 6 pounds and then it starts all over again and lose it in days. My thyroid was killed 17 yrs ago by radioactive iodine.  My thyroid levels are so extremely low yet I all my syptoms from thyroid problem are EXTREMELY HYPERthyroid. It is starting to effect my heart because my insides are going 100mph. I am slowly dying. I can walk 30ft and my heart rate goes to 185 from about 82.
I am not being dramatic... I TRULY BELIEVE this is going to kill me before I get an answer or proper treatment. The whole thing has been a nightmare since they killed My thyroid 19 yrs ago. They have never been able to keep it refulated, but it's been a disability and HE'LL for 6 yrs.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me. God I pray a doctor or someone else that has this will run across this little post on the giant Web and be able to help. I'm not ready to die.  Amen

For what reason was RAI done in the first place? Do you have Graves Disease?

What "level" are they monitoring?  They should be testing Free T4, Free T3, which are the actual thyroid hormones, along with TSH, on a regular basis.  

If you could please post your current thyroid hormone levels, we'd be better able to help you determine what you problem might be.  Be sure to include reference ranges with any lab results, since ranges vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own report(s)...

It would also be helpful to know what your current dose of Armour (if that's what you're taking now) is.

Also, do you take the medication all in one dose or do you split it into more than one dose throughout the day?

Yes. I was on synthroid for 16 years. When they tried every dose. Or would have me skip a day take one for 2 days skip a day. They never could get it to level out. So I went on Armour Thyroid 3 years ago. Things are slightly better. But nowhere near right. My thyroid level they have been keeping it at a dangerously low level to keep me eating and sleeping about the same amount of food a toddler would eat is a good meal for me. But no matter how low they make my level go I still exhibit extreme hyperthyroidism when my tests show extreme hypothyroidism. Any advice you have would be awesome. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

I did find this on an a thyroid article from Sensible Alternative - "Do you react with anxiety and heart palpitations when you take thyroid medication? The most common explanation for this an underlying problem with adrenal insufficiency (cortisol and DHEA deficiency). Correct the adrenal problem, and then you should be able to tolerate thyroid medication."

Have you had thyroid labs done? Are you already taking thyroid medication?
