i don't know whats happened to me...i have anti tpo 454.70 IU/ml.

Globulin #.63 gms/dl ,
V L D L CHOLESTROL mg/dl
L D L CHOLESTROL 105.22 mg/dl

...my doc says that nothings wrong and this will go away byitself..and i know hes wrong..what does this mean ,that i have a weird case of thyroiditis? hashimotos?(i searched it on my own..the guy told me nothing)..and u ld think he wud tell me parents the real thing and would hide it from me.cz he wudnt want to distress a 17 year old..but nope..he tld them nothing either!..can anyone plz tell me whats happening and whom should i consult? my parents dont hv ny info too..and they trust this doc blindly god kknows y!..help me plz!p.s. i also have an ovarien cyst...5cm on the right one and 3 cm on the left

Please provide the reference ranges for those tests.  Ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report.

A good way to do that is to report test, result and range in parentheses, e.g.:

nope no such symptoms.only weight gain and yes,at the moment i am not a fan of the cold cz even today i had mild fever and my throat hurts badly and i have a bit of cold too...nyways..thankyou soooo sooo sooo soooo sooo much!..i ll pay attention to the thyroid case.thans a ton!

I'm glad to hear the doctor will be retesting your TPOab.

In the meantime, however, is there any chance you could have a little more thyroid blood work?  Elevated TPOab can indicate both Hashi's and "silent" thyroiditis, which is a "temporary" condition.  I think your ESR would also support silent thyroiditis.  You might do some research on both of those.

It would be a really good idea to see what your thyroid hormones are doing.  FREE T3, FREE T4 (different from total T3 and total T4) and TSH would give you a much better thyroid profile.

You said you had gained some weight.  Do you have any other thyroid symptoms?  Intolerance to heat/cold?  Constipation or diarrhea?  Elevated or lowered heart rate and/or blood pressure?  Insomnia or fatigue?  You can google for a more complete list of both hyper and hypo symptoms.

for the ovarian cyst factors...i started my period at the age of 12 years and 1 month,never irregular period,increased fat i suppose yes,and no history..and thnku for the SPEP...ll do asap

nope!..thank you first of all..and secondly i went to a gyno today who prescribed oral contraceptives to regulate period and avoid cyst formation and a c-125 test just to be on the safer side.and also prescribed aldectone for excessive hair growth.they say that they ll supervise the cyst and ll tk an ultrasound after 3 cycles of my period.other than that npthing else.i was also told to keep my weight in check because being obese is wat leads to these probs.also,i had a bad fever today so the doc said that my high antibodies may be due to viral infection...so i ll get another blood test for anti bodies in a month or so.but wat disturbs me is my period is regular,my tummy or pelvic region doesnt hurt so how come i didnt notice the cyst?! nyways this is all i was told..i went to anoder doc..the first doc was saying tht i am young and cyst formations r really common..so he ws planning to wait for 6 weeks n den get anoder ultrasound to see the progression of the cyst.the new doc says that i have to control my weight,be active and the thyroid thingy ll go away soon.let me tell u ..i am 17, 63 kg wt,161 cm ht.

Did your doctor do any other thyroid tests besides TPOab?  

What kind of symptoms are you having?

Did your doctor give you any kind of diagnosis or explain why he thought this would go away by itself?

A high level of TPO antibodies means either Hashimoto's thyroiditis or Graves' disease.  Do you have any other thyroid lab results?

History of previous ovarian cysts
Irregular menstrual cycles
Increased upper body fat distribution
Early menstruation (11 years or younger)
Infertility
Hypothyroidism or hormonal imbalance

Your ESR is also elevated (women under 50 should have less than 20 mm/hr).  ESR indirectly measures how much inflammation is in the body.  ESR also rises with anaemia.

I am assuming your test is total serum globulin (which is composed of alpha 1, alpha 2, beta and gamma fractions).

Normal: 2.0 - 3.9 g/dL
Optimal: 2.4 to 2.8 g/dL
Alarm ranges: under 2.0 or above 3.5 g/dL *

* A serum protein electrophoresis (SPEP) should be requested.

SPEP tests for:

Total protein: 6.4 to 8.3 g/dL
Albumin: 3.5 to 5.0 g/dL
Alpha 1 globulin: 0.1 to 0.3 g/dL
Alpha 2 globulin: 0.6 to 1.0 g/dL
Beta globulin: 0.7 to 1.2 g/dL
Gamma globulin: 0.7 to 1.6 g/dL

Low total globulin levels:

Suspect digestive inflammation or inflammation secondary to low stomach acid (HCI).  Chronic inflammatory digestive conditions (eg: Crohn's disease, colitis, coeliac disease) will compromise protein breakdown and absorption leading to protein deficiency and decreased levels of immunglobulins and therefore decreased total globulin levels.  Pattern: globulin under 2.4g/dL, decreased phosphorous (under 3.0 or 0.97 mmol/L), increased BUN (over 16 or 5.71mmol/L), increased basophils (over 1), and increased ESR.

Decreased total globulin under 2.0 g/dL suggests an immune insufficiency. Suspect an increased use of globulin by the liver, spleen, thymus, kidney or heart.  Rule out immune disruptors such as viruses, xenobiotics, toxicity.

Other conditions that lower globulins include anaemia, liver disease, chronic vital/bacterial infections.
