Anyone develop autoimmune disorder after thyca?

I was just wondering if anyone has developed an autoimmune disorder after having a TT for thyroid cancer.  I had a tt in May of 2007 and RAI in June 07.  A few months ago, I have been having swollen and painful hands and finger joints.  My ANA direct came back positive and I have an appt. with a rheumatologist this Wed.  Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.  It has abeen a long 2 years since my diagnosis and treatment.  I also have has salivary gland issues.  Thanks for your help.

Hey Red!

Yeah, Seronegative RA (negative on the blood tests but positive on the x-rays) for me.

I have also developed some strange autoimmune disorder that makes my connective tissue break down (they are trying to figure it out).  Sometimes my ANAs are high, sometimes normal.

The connective tissue in my abdomen has broken down and my intestines move around (tied themselves in a knot requiring surgery a few months ago) and break down (bleed easily).  It's starting to happen to my youngest sister (the one with three doses of RAI) too.

Stupid body.
