Hi , I'm wondering if I have an adrenal issue. I am unable to tolerate Synthroid and just tried armour thyroid today at super low dosage and experienced incredible anxiety. What kind of treatment is there for adrenal fatigue?
I have now had the cortisol suppression test, and a CT with injection for abdomen/pelvic area. Don't have Cushings and no abnormalities on adrenal glands. Glucose test shows normal. The next thing I am going to inquire about is aldosterine test. I am having a hard time when I eat anything high in potassium. I always ate a bananna daily and love avocados. Get the nervous feeling in the a.m. and slight light headed ness when I eat those things. Get better after 11 a.m. which makes it seem like a hormone problem. Also asparagus (don't know if that is high in potassium).
hhmmm, makes me think i should have my cortisal checked also
Just happened to notice comment about cold sores. Don't remember where I saw it, but I have used this cure for years. It works without fail and is so simple and cheap I'm sure the drug companies would not want it to become general knowledge. LOL
At the first sign of a cold sore, take 1000 mg of L-lysine, then continue taking 500 mg each day until all signs are gone. Works so well that if you get started early the sore never even gets to be uncomfortable.
Thanks for all your comments. I had a doctor's appointment today after blood work yesterday. Showed that my cortisol a.m. level had gone back up to 26.4, so I need to start addressing the adrenals.
Are you on adrenal support? Usually that would need to be addressed before adding thyroid hormones.
You don't say if you are or aren't.
If your adrenal problems are not being addressed you should run to another doctor! You could end up with adrenal crisis.
Of course you don't see a free t3, Stella..looks like there's an anti-free t3 conspirasy going on in the healthcare community.....sounds like too much THR and had some hyper things going on to me. Takes time after lowering or raising doses to have symptoms improve..is this a gyno? i see he gave you progesterone cream..did he give you a prescription for it? It can have a calming effect.
I don't see a free T3 test at all?
