Atrophic hashimoto's thyroiditis

In Atrophic hashimoto's thyroiditis, our thyroid shrinks upto some size . Does any one know how small it can get?.  if so, what are the dimension of each lobe? . Please tell me whether the shrinkage associated with the age of the patient or not.

Hello and WELCOME to the Community; I am not well-versed in regard to your ? but wanted to say hello .. I think others will jump in to help ...

Even the tiniest am't of thyroid tissue that is left behind after a surgery can be enough to still produce hormones . That I share as a sidenote!!!
