Autopsy said my daughter died from hashimoto thyroiditis heart problems.

My daughter suddenly died at 44 and had been treated for 10 years for thyroid problems. Her autopsy took 4 months with a histology report. People tell me this can't be true and her doctor told me it was a lie. I believe the autopsy but no one believes me. Can this happen?

EXTREMELY sorry for your lose!  What a tragedy!

I also would be interested in the last several blood labs.  First interest is WHAT labs were tested.  Was it only TSH or were free T4 and Free T3 tests done?

What medication was she on?  What was the dosage?

What were her lab results.

IF, IF (and that is still yet to be determined) all this was true and she was under the active care of an MD and she was so terribly Hypo to result in death, it would raise a huge question in my mind about the Doctors care.  And I will say no more.

If she was being treated for hypothyroidism, then along with any symptoms she was having, her last few sets of thyroid test results and their reference ranges shown on the lab reports should give a clue about her status.  Can you tell us about any other symptoms she was having and also post those test results and ranges?  Also, what thyroid med was she taking and what was the daily dosage?

Terribly sorry to hear of your daughter's early death.   Awful for a child to go before their parents.  Don't know how much help I can be but let me ask a few questions.

What did the autopsy actually say about thyroid issues?  Can you post her last few sets of thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report? What thyroid med was she taking and what was the daily dosage?  What symptoms was she having?

Death result of cardiac days rhythmic associated with hypothyroidism. Ms. Benson has a clinical history of hypothyroidism which is supported at autopsy by the diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
Tox: Quetiapine, Lamotrigine
Symptoms-falling down and eyes blinking rapidly.
