Oh my gosh, can't you catch a break???
Call your endo or the nuclear med department and ask them but I don't thing that it will be an issue if you have it fixed BEFORE the RAI. You might not have a dentist who will want to get anywhere near your mouth (specifically saliva and blood) for a while AFTER the RAI.
Besides, my gums temporarily receded after my RAI, my endo said it wasn't uncommon - not the time you want to be fitting a crown.
I hope they give you nice drugs! :-)
OH NO .. I am with you on the dental pain. 2 root canals within the past 2 mos and now some residual pain but looks like I'm in better shape the past day.
I don't have an answer to your ? but want you to know I share your dental pain and send good {{{{{{{{{vibes}}}}}}} your way for it feeling better really soon and B4 the RAI treatment.

Well, I get to join the REALLY exclusive club of root canalers and thyca patients! Good news is my dentist can save the tooth, but I'll have to finish with the root canal on Monday, then wait a few weeks after RAI to get the crown put on. I can't tell you how much I hate going to the dentist. I have a very small mouth and extremely easy gag reflex. I'm probably the world's worst dental patient. Fortunately for me, I have a very understanding dentist with small hands. While in the chair my hands were tingling...so I'm freakin' out thinking...is it me hyperventilating or my calcium levels dropping again, or just from me holding the chair arms with a death grip! Between hypohell and this dentist visit, I'm one whooped puppy!!! But through it all I was thinking....things could be worse..it could be cancer!! It's amazing how your perspective changes after having thyca!!
Pssst .. I freak out sometimes at the Endodontist too ....but I KWUM .. is it the meds or the {{{{{{{{{{{nerves}}}}}}}}}} hee hee hee. Keep us posted on the RC .. ah darn it .. sorry to hear the news ACK!
Mine is doing so much better since taking the anti-inflammatories ... tooth pain can be worse than thyroidectomy pain hee hee hee!!!!
