Choking sensation could be thyroid related?

I remember pushing on my chin a few months ago and it was very tender.  Approximately a month later I woke up without a voice and had a croupy cough for a little over a month. I went to an ENT and he sent me for a soft tissue and thyroid ultrasound. I also had a chest Cray.  The soft tissue showed enlarged lymph nodes. Thyroid ultrasound was good. Chest xray showed pleural effusion. I did CT of chest and soft tissue a few weeks after taking 2 antibiotics and it was normal.  The choking sensation has never went away. It comes and goes. It is also tender to touch in my thyroid area. Also, under my chin and jawline is tender and often feels like it's pulling.  One day it won't be as bad, the next it's awful. I live on Advil, which isn't good. I have swollen pockets known as festoons on my upper cheek that interferes with my vision when it's really swollen. I also have the occasional ear throbbing going on. Oh, the doc tested my TSH levels and it was fine. However, this was tested a few months prior since I also have burning sensations on my legs and occasionally underarms. I need some advice. What do I do? Does this sound like a thyroid problem? From my research I keep going back to subacute thyroiditis.

Have the doctor test for thyroglobulin. I also feel like something is constantly in my throat. I cough all the time! I was diagnosed with Hoshimoto's about a year ago.  The nerve tingling sensation is also very common!

I sent you a message about my same symptoms. Try to go to a GOOD ENT and see if you have lingual tonsillitis and if you hyoid bone is protruding.
