If your existing Dr won't treat you properly by your Free T4 and Free T3, then find a new Dr. I cannot believe that a Dr would go by your TSH when you are on a T3 med only! Cytomel or any T3 med will supress the TSH to make it look hyper, even though you are not.
You've been on straight Cytomel for 13 years? No T4 meds?
Hi,
you need to test ft3 and ft4. THese are the active thyroid hormones. These are the labs which you should use to adjust your meds.
Target FT3 and FT4 are in the mid to upper half of the reference range.
TSH is often not a good indicator of thyroid function. 50 mcg is already very low for someone who doesn't have a functioning thyroid.
Do you have symptoms of hypothyroid?
