If you don't get any responses with personal experience with thyroid doctors in your area, here is a site that lists top thyroid docs by state and by city.  It also includes comments from patients, which I think gives good insight into what the doctor practices.  I do have personal experience with one doctor from this list.  He was selected because of being in my area, and the patient comments were really good.  Turned out to be a great choice.

Dr Pardo in Ft Myers is awesome!! He is an endo and very knowledgeable of thyroid disorders. Have you had antibody tests done for hashimotos?? If you dont mind, post your most recent labs with the reference ranges here so I can take a look. Normal doesn't always mean normal, especially if you have hashimotos autoimmune disease.

Isn't Dr. Lupo on the expert forum in the Tampa area?  I don't know my Florida geography, so don't know if that's Southwest Florida or not, but I thought I would throw it out there.

Yes he is in the Sarasota area north of Pt Charlotte .  I am south of pt charlotte about 50 minute drive. Sarasota is a 30-40 minute drive north of pt charlotte if you are going to south side of sarasota.
