hard to say but this can be either perforation of esophagus, trachea (rare), irritation of nerve or sedative leaked into interstitial space.Cold compress can somewhat help along with sour candy.
Also having this terrible pain inside my throat along with trouble swallowing and burning 4 days after biopsy. Has anyone figured out what this is and how to get rid of it?
I had a similar experience. Did your throat pain resolve quickly? I am several months out from my biopsy and I still have the pain, have trouble swallowing, and have a weird feeling acidity in my throat, at the site of the biopsy. I've searched for risks from the biopsy, but nothing like this appears to be reported. Any ideas?
Prayfully you will have a relief from the pain very soon....discomfort for an fna biopsy normally lasts no more than a day.
I took two Aleve last night and it didn't do anything :/
I would take a pain reliever...like motrin or advil to relieve the pain if tea doesn't help soothe it.
Yeah it feels like when you have strep throat. I really don't want to go to class like this :/
I have had 3 FNA's and they do hurt, and my throat hurt afterwards, the last 2 being done on the same nodule were the worst. Depending on where the nodule is, in my case at the back, low down and pressing on my trachea, you might get the pain you are talking about.
The nerves run from front to back into the spine, so if you have had a nerve hit which is also a branched off nerve, you might be having pain there. Think of a tree. The tiny twigs join into bigger branches which lead onto larger limbs which then lead down to the trunk. That's like the nervous system.
If it still causes you issues in 24 hours certainly see someone about it.
Mine felt like a bad strep throat but went away after that time frame. Lots of hot tea helped ease it for me.
