Gimel was kind enough to share this web page and i pasted here for our hypo patients.

Thyroid Hormones
Low thyroid levels/effects in the body cause cold extremities, weight gain, fatigue, need for
excessive sleep, high cholesterol, muscle aches and stiffness, reduced heart function, dry skin,
constipation, scalp and eyebrow hair loss, high blood pressure, depression, and mental
slowness. There are many other symptoms that can be seen in persons due to their unique
constitutions and their attempts to compensate for the low thyroid levels. Even mild
hypothyroidism increases one's risk of atherosclerosis and heart attacks.

Sorry but I don't have a member recommended doctor in the Columbus area.  The closest I have to offer is in Auburn, Al.  I will send a PM with link.  Just click on your name and that takes you to personal page.  Then click on messages.

Keep seeing your name. I would like to know if you know of any competent doctors in the Columbus,  Georgia area,. I have been put through the ringer with 'doctors' in this area.  I am 50 years oldand have been told that I have an enlarged thyroid and blood work shows a normal thyroid function but high antibodies in the thyroid peroxidas. The 'doctors' do not want to do anything for me because my thyroid is normal but I feel like crap! I have gained a lot of weight,  cannot drag myself out of bed in the morning,  hair looks like hay, skin is very dry, cannot seem to function anymore. I am so tired of not feeling good and more tired of being told my thyroid is functioning normal. Nobody seems to want to do the Free T3 and T4 test. Can you please help me! !  I need a good doctor.  Thank you so much! !
