To AR-10 - I am I still considered to have a thyroid problem if i do not have one. My levels have been maintained, at least the TSH anyway. Can't tell you about other ones.
Since graves caused my hyperthyroidism/goiter, i just assumed it also affected my adrenal gland, but at a slow pace.
I requested copies of my lab work, hopefully i can get them tomorrow along with everything else on the tumor.
I will let you know the results and ranges.
Thanks.
Another condition brought on by tumors and hyperthyroidism is hyperpara-thyroid problems. Look up hyper-parathyroid on web alot of useful info. This condition can cause alot of symptoms also. Have you had your calcium levels checked?? Good luck.

Thyroid disease can bring on Addison's.
I am not sure if Grave's would cause it or not. My impression is it is caused by hypothyroidism over an extended period.
I could be mistaken about that.
I DO know that thyroid problems put a lot of stress on the adrenal glands and if an adrenal problem develops and is not addressed early it can lead to Addison's.
Just not sure if Grave's can be the culprit.
I had a TT back in 94. It's not that i don't want to get the surgery, but my PCP said that the tumor did not seem to be cancerous, but she could not rule it out.
Tha Addision is a different issue altogether. She wants to find a good Endo for me so I guess unti then it is a wait thing. I for some reason believe all this was related to graves disease that went undiagnosed for about 6 months before they figure it out. I was just curious if graves could cause problems with the adrenal glands after so long.
I had a friend with graves disease...they shut her thyroid down and put her on synthroid and she is doing sooooo much better...you MUST do something about your problem...It's a very serious thing to just let it go.... I've had 6 surgerys in my life .... you will be fine .... if you don't do anything about it you will be in big trouble. Don't be afraid of surgery... Get yourself on the road to health.... NOW..
