HASHIMOTO'S and other issues relates

I had mild Hashimoto's (not medicated) and recently had some surgery that necessitated a blood test.  Now, for the first time in my life, my cholesterol is very high.  I was put on thyroid medication and my thyroid values came to normal, but the cholesterol got WORSE.  Now my doctor also wants to discuss possible liver involvement.  I understand the basics here, but I am worried.  I eat low fat items, don't eat much in the way of "bad" foods at all and had hoped that stabilizing my thyroid values would start bringing the cholesterol down.  I can't exercise much because of being post-op for a hybrid lumbar spinal surgery.

Any ideas?

I will be meeting with my doctor soon to discuss options re: cholesterol.  We were both hoping that stabilizing my thyroid would start the cholesterol moving down as well, but apparently that hasn't happened.
I will be getting more details on the test results soon as well...

There is a connection to abnormal LDL and HDL levels with hypothyroidism. You be not be at the right level yet to see a better impact on this.

Did you doctor discuss cholestrol meds? What were the test results.
