With all those hypo symptoms you definitely need to get started on thyroid meds.  You should target getting your FT3 level into the upper quarter of the range and see if that is enough to relieve symptoms.  Since your FT3 and FT4 are relatively in the same part of their ranges, indicating adequate conversion of T4 to T3, you might be successful at increasing your FT3 and FT4 levels with T4 meds.

Beyond that you need to do what I suggested above.

"Another thing to be aware of is that your description of varying symptoms suggests possibilities that should be further tested.  I would suggest that you get tested for Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, by testing for the thyroid antibodies, TPO ab and TG ab.  Also, just to be sure, might be good to test for Grave's Disease, by running a TSI test.  The other thing to consider would be to get an ultrasound test on your thyroid glands to determine if you have any nodules."

Another thing that comes to mind is a 24 hour urine cortisol test to assess adrenal function.  Many hypo patients also find that they are deficient in areas of Vitamin A, D, B12, zinc, iron, selenium, RBC magnesium.

Please let us know how all this proceeds and how you are feeling.

I find that Ibuprofen works well for me.  There are, however, many different types of headaches and causes for them.  If yours are like migraine headaches, you might find this useful.  "Migraine often occurs as a result of low brain levels of magnesium.  One clinical trial found that supplementing with magnesium caused the complete elimination of migraine pain within 15 minutes in 80% of migraine sufferers."

Might be worth a trial.

Just because your thyroid test results fall within the so-called "normal" range does not mean that is adequate for you.  The ranges are too broad.  As a start, please post your test results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report.

I think you should have "dismissed" your Endo earlier, rather than the other way around.  LOL

Again...help!!!  I've been tested for everything possible and all is normal.  I have nodules.  I have 2 Aunts and 3 neices that have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism (one neice with Hashimoto's and one neice with thyroid cancer leading to a thyroidectomy).  My TSH stays around .03 to .08 and normal T3 and T4. My endo finally (after five years of testing and no medications) said I have "euthyroid sick syndrome" and basically "dismissed me", immedicately after I lost my job and my health insurance.  I have developed anxiety from depression (I control it with deep breathing and medication)  over my significant weight gain and inability to control it (weight gain).  Basicallly, I am experiencing hypothyroid symptoms (all of them), but my TSH stays around .03 to .08.

My personal and professional life are decompensating rapidly and I'm exhausted from searching for an explanation.  I am otherwise healthy (53 year old, white female).  I can't deal with the weight gain and don't know what to do. My BMI has gone from 24 to 32 since the nodules appeared.  Every time I attempt to reduce my weight through diet or exercise I actually gain weight...unbelievable.  This is ruining my life...Please help.

There are many reasons for vitamin D deficiency. The most common is not enough UVB rays from the sun. A very large or obese body is another cause as a larger body requires more vitamin D.

The vitamin D range depends on the lab but it is recommended to aim for a minimum of 50ng/mL (125nmol/L). Correcting a deficiency can take some time however. Just to add, magnesium is the most important co factor for vitamin D absorption.
